I am thrilled with the success of our Sales Dinner at Canal 337.  I couldn't have asked for any detail to be changed.  What a FUN night.  My guests had such an enjoyable experience.  I loved hearing everyone share how much they loved the food.  We need to find more ways to describe off the chart DELICIOUS.  I have to say the presentation always draws me in to the Thomas experience.  It made the event truly memorable. FANTASTIC! As I was beginning to plan my wedding, finding a caterer that could do all of the food gluten free was incredibly important as I have Celiac disease. From the first time I talked with my event designer at Thomas, I was sold. Her ability to ease my concerns and provide so many options to choose from were a great start. When we had our tasting a few months before the wedding, the chef was available for any of our questions regarding gluten free and assuring the steps he took to make our day the best. Our event designer was great with helping plan our menu while being conscious of budget and dietary restrictions. We received so much wonderful feedback from our guests about the food. Everyone was happy with the food from appetizers through entrée and Thomas was great about making sure all the different dietary requests were addressed. I was at an event at Dallara Racing where your company was catering.  I didn't expect too much, figured a typical catered meal, probably nothing special, just food for the masses.  Boy was I wrong.  Starting off with the hors d'oevres, I was really impressed by the flavor combinations and tastes, which were a bit unique.  The dinner was similar.  I felt everything was a cut above your typical catered meal.  Combine that with a very friendly staff, and it made for a great experience.    

 

Thank you so much for everything on Friday night. Everyone that attended is still raving about the venue and the food. Top to bottom, this was one of our best receptions ever. Dee, the service was fantastic and met every expectation we had. People loved the food, too and they loved the presentation of all of it (especially the vertical wall with the hummus and thai beef salads). Please pass along my thanks to Dave as well. He was very attentive and helpful. Lauren, you are one lucky girl because I can’t imagine that you’d ever be short on business working at a venue like D’Amore. First off, I would like to commend you and the Thomas staff for an outstanding evening for Hillary and Brian. Every detail that you took care of for us and the work ethic that Thomas instills in their staff, is unparalleled to most. The meal was beautiful, hot and delicious. The servers began pouring wine as soon as the guests were seated. The cake came out directly after entrees were finished. The servers lit the candles when I asked. I could keep going on and on. Most of the details that are important to me as a planner, would go unnoticed to others. But, not to me. Those details are what make the evening pleasurable and complete. Many do not know how difficult it is pulling an event together with every little detail. It's not just about the meal! As a seasoned event planner with a background in catering and restaurant management I have experienced quite a bit in the industry having worked with many vendors over the years. Thomas Caterers of Distinction is truly a top notch company with a flair for creative menus and exceptional services. Our company began working with Kelly and Vince Early many years ago for various corporate events, then with a call to assist us in hosting our employee banquet one year they rose to the top and showed just how talented Thomas Caterers was then (is now).  At the time we had out grown our space and decided to host that year at our newest property, a historic hotel undergoing renovations, which would not be completed in time for the banquet.  Despite not having any functional kitchen or other facilities that would make it convenient to cater a plated dinner to a large group of several hundred, Kelly and Vince lead their team, held them to highest standards, thus pulling off an extraordinary feat with a meal that folks rave about to this day!  So much so we continued to have Thomas Caterers at company events. As our company grew, Kelly and Vince continued to put on amazing events and handled any logistics with ease and confidence.  Most recently I had the honor of working closely with them on our company's 50th Anniversary celebration. Once again, the logistics of catering a hot buffet meal to over 6, 000 people in a Fieldhouse without any running water, real plumbing or even electrical service did not deter this remarkable team.  We hosted a remarkable celebration and could not have done so without their expertise. My hope for that day was to help my daughter have a wedding day that would provide great memories for the rest of her life. No matter how much planning takes place, though, there's always a concern that something was forgotten, or something will simply go wrong. In fact I'm sure there are very few events where at least some detail isn't forgotten or overlooked.
I'm not a person that's bashful about expressing my disappointment when people I hire don't perform. ​What a flawless evening you, the supervisor and your wait staff presented to us! Not only were the tables lovely – laid with damask cloths – but each favor was carefully placed.  We heard so many compliments from our guests on the food and service and the bridal party was so pleased to be pampered with drinks and hors d’oeuvres before they made their grand entrance!
